Acceptable Use
By using NoviosShort you agree not to create short links that distribute malware, phishing, illegal content, or anything intended to deceive visitors about the destination.
You must use the service in a way that is lawful and honest. NoviosShort is meant for legitimate shortening, branding, and measurement — not for concealment, fraud, or harm.
Short Links & Destinations
You are responsible for the destinations you shorten. A short link is a convenience for sharing a URL; it does not change who is accountable for the page it opens.
Do not create links that mislead visitors about where they will go. The destination should match the reasonable expectation of someone who opens the short URL.
Landing Pages & Redirects
Landing pages must remain honest: they exist to present a destination before a desktop visitor continues, not to disguise where a link goes.
NoviosShort may route desktop and laptop browsers to a configured destination first, while mobile and tablet visitors are sent to the original URL. That routing is part of the product and should never be used to hide the true destination.
Analytics & Tracking
When a short URL is opened, NoviosShort may record click analytics for the administrator workspace, such as timing, device type, and related request metadata. Raw IP addresses are not shown in the admin interface.
Details about what is stored, how hashed identifiers are used, and cookies required for sessions are described in the Privacy Policy.
Account & Security
You are responsible for keeping administrator credentials private. Access to the workspace must stay limited to people you trust to manage links, branding, and settings.
Protect your password, session, and any recovery email. Activity performed while signed in to an administrator account is treated as your responsibility.
Service Availability
The service is provided as-is on the hosting environment you control. NoviosShort does not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, because availability depends on the server, DNS, SSL, and network conditions of that environment.
Redirects, analytics, and the admin workspace may be unavailable during maintenance, misconfiguration, or hosting outages outside the application’s control.
Abuse & Link Removal
We may deactivate links that appear abusive. That includes links used for malware, phishing, illegal content, or deception about the destination.
Deactivation is a protective measure for visitors and for the integrity of the service. Abusive or misleading destinations may be disabled without prior notice when the risk is clear.
Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated as the product evolves. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
When the terms change, the “Last updated” date on this page will be revised. Please review this page periodically if you operate NoviosShort as an administrator.
